SSC Partnership – Carbon Reduction Plan 2025
🌱 SSC Partnership’s Journey to Net Zero: A Carbon Reduction Plan Built on Action, Not Ambition
At SSC Partnership, sustainability isn’t a side project — it’s a core value. As a procurement and contract management specialist working across the public sector, we understand that climate leadership starts at home — and extends through every contract we manage, every supplier we engage, and every decision we make.
That’s why we’re proud to publish our first Carbon Reduction Plan, developed in full alignment with PPN 06/21 and underpinned by our ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System.
📊 Our Baseline: Where We Started (2024–2025)
Scope 1 – 0.457
Scope 2 – 3.54
Scope 3 – 18.481
Total = 22.48
Per employee, that’s 2.25 tCO₂e — a figure we’re committed to halving by 2030, and eliminating by 2050.
✅ What We’ve Already Done
We’re not starting from scratch. Here’s what we’ve already implemented:
– LED lighting + PIR sensors across all offices
– Remote and hybrid working to cut commuting emissions
– Paperless systems via In-Tend for digital contracts and procurement
– Video conferencing to reduce business travel
– Waste segregation and recycling programmes
– Single-use plastic reduction in daily operations
🎯 Our Targets: 50% by 2030, Net Zero by 2050
We’ve committed to:
Reduce absolute emissions by 50% by 2030 (from 22.48 to 11.24 tCOâ‚‚e)
Achieve Net Zero across all scopes by 2050
These aren’t just numbers; they’re science-aligned, SME Climate Hub-registered.
🔜 What’s Next: Our 2025–2030 Action Plan
Switch to 100% renewable electricity | Eliminate 3.54 tCOâ‚‚e (Scope 2) |
EV transition plan for company vehicles | Reduce Scope 1 & 3 transport emissions |
EV charging points at HQ | Support staff and visitors |
Supplier engagement programme | Reduce Scope 3 emissions via procurement |
Annual carbon reporting | Track progress transparently |
Solar panel feasibility study | Explore on-site renewable generation |
🏛️ How We Apply This to Public Sector Contracts
As a procurement specialist, we don’t just meet sustainability requirements — we embed them into every stage of the contract lifecycle:
Carbon reporting is now a mandatory tender requirement
Local sourcing and seasonal menus reduce food miles
Plant-based options are promoted to lower catering emissions
Delivery consolidation and low-emission fleets are prioritised
KPIs include carbon reduction metrics, reviewed **quarterly**
All of this is integrated with our ISO 14001:2015 EMS, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement, and client confidence.
